Running issue and code.. please help

Hey, i have a 96 f150 4.9. Trucks showing a p0420 code and sometimes runs rough at idle. I have read that a lot of times this means the cats bad. I replaced the whole exhaust and put a new cat on since i was replacing everything. Still have the code showing. My next things are the 02 sensors. Ive also heard that the tps can cause something like this where the truck runs rough and can cause a code. Anybody have experience with this problem. Thanks a lot.

OBD-II Trouble Code: P0402 Exhaust Gas Recirculation (EGR) Flow Excessive Detected

Causes

A code P0402 most likely means one or more of the following has happened:

* The DPFE (differential pressure) sensor is faulty and needs to be replaced
* There is a blockage in the EGR (most likely carbon buildup)
* The EGR valve is faulty
* The EGR valve may not be opening due to a lack of vacuum

I am not sure where the DPFE is located on a 4.9L engine. I did find this handy test procedure for the DPFE Sensor: Ford DPFE Sensor Test
