EB vs 6.2 Comparison?

I looked through the two pages of threads under the EB section and a few pages on the general F150 section and haven't found a really good comparison of the EB vs 6.2. It's possible I may have missed it if it exists, or this topic appears under another heading that isn't obvious.

I'm leaning towards the F150 more so than ever currently. I was debating the SD Diesel for a while, but I'm off that bandwagon for a variety of factors, namely cost and additional hassles with owning a diesel.

Are there torque curves avaiable for the EB vs 6.2? The EB torque curve is what has me most interested in this set up for the times I tow over the summer. I've been trying to follow the EB MPG threads, results seem mixed. It would be great to see EB MPGs vs 6.2 MPGs.

RE: 6.2, i presume it gets better mileage in the 150 vs SD for obvious reasons, weight being a key factor. Seems the 6.2 would perform more effectively and effeciently in the 150, but I haven't been able to find a whole lot of "real world" 6.2 data in the 150.

My last consideration is resale value. I've heard that 85% of 150s going forward will have the EB engine, just like a majority of SDs are diesel. In trying to decide the EB vs 6.2 for the 150, this is a consideration, but not above performance. In my case, I'm ultimately trying to determine the best engine for a truck that will have a 6" lift with 35s, and occasionally tow anywhere between 6500 & 7500 lbs. I believe either the EB or 6.2 are more than capable, just not sure what other considerations to take into account.

Any thoughts are welcome.

This post has the torque and HP curves you're looking for:

The V8 vs EB debate seems to come down to individual opinions on EB predicted reliability when worked hard and how important fuel mileage is to you. I suspect you'll be satisfied with either.

Thank you Joe, this link helps. Hoping to go drive both sometime next week. I have my dealer willing to take a truck up to my neighborhood so I can throw a boat behind the truck and see how it does going up and down some steep grades.
