Im not 100% sure but I think I remember seeing that replacing the heater with one out of a super duty will work and the heaters are better. Don't quote me but I think I remember reading that. Can anyone confirm that?

Dorman has a replacement that can be used for either (?). May or may not be a good option.

I think I have heard that some get along just fine without a fuel heater in some pretty cold climates.
