power window bug, not a fuse
Well I installed new door lock actuators, which work beautifully now. But I broke a button off of the driver side power window switch while unplugging everything. cheap plastic. anyway all windows stopped working altogether at that point.
A $70 power window switch later, still nothing. Checked all fuses under dash board, and all in the box under the hood on the drivers door. I don't have a manual so yes I checked them ALL!!
So I'm lost. any ideas? non working windows suck. esp. since I live on coffee and use them alot. and if anyone knows where the fuse is or if it is in another location that would be helpful. I didnt find any others in my cold windy search. thanks in advance.

I have been chasing an issue with the power windows on my 98 f 150.
My first check was the fuse or would have been if there was one listed in the owners manual. The only power window related item was relay #4 (one touch down) located in the passenger compartment box. Cannot find a fuse listed for the PWs anywhere in my owners manual. Weird huh?
Twice now I have taken the negative lead off the battery and lost the PWs, WSW, & the dome/map lights. Drive the truck for a day and they all function properly the next day.
Do computers suffer tron dementia? Maybe my GEM us just having a few senior moments. L O L

Wow I was a dope. It was the fuse. The power window fuse is number 110. it is a 30 amp fuse located under the hood. It is farthest away from the drivers side and third away from the windshield side of this box. It is one of the square ones with the clear plastic cover that you can pop off. Hope that helps the other guy looking for the fuse.
