Is there anyway to turn off the key left in the ignition switch bell? I hate it and want to kill it for good. 2008 ford F 150 4x4 SC.

Shorebird, I pull the rubber plug on the 08 f150 and turned ing. To run and probed the little thing in there, but can't get the switch out. Gave up and will now try on 08 super duty. Tried about 6 times and no luck. Have about 8 more to do if I can figure it out. Thanks for the info.

 

I have disabled my key chime on my 08 by removing a wire from the harness. here is one post i found i will verify wich color my wire is tonight if that doesnt help.
