Really need some help with this F-250

My problem is this...I was driving my truck a few weeks ago and it started loosing power and missing and wouldnt go over 5 mph so I pulled over shut it off and put more gas in it and it has been fine ever since till a few days later it wouldnt start. About a week later it randomly started again and I have been driving it ever since but today it started missing and violently jerking when accelerating again. I replaced the ignition control module thinking that was the problem but obviously it wasnt and it is doin the exact same thing again. Any help?

Thanks

You need to start with the basics, during the no start is there fuel, is there spark.

year? engine?
sounds like a weak fuel pump,
or a cracked pickup tube in the fuel tank

Help

Sounds like some trash in the fuel system, Replace your fuel filter and see if it clears. It could be someone fouled your tank

yup. try a clean filter again. if it clears up for a while and comes back, i would suspect fuel "additives"

a neighbor had a similar experience with his chevy. someone put styrofoam packing peanuts in his tank. it screwed the whole system up. it took 2 weeks to get everything cleaned out.

had to drop and flush the tank, and flush the lines with acetone to get all the crap out.

I have the same truck, same year, same engine, my truck was doing the same thing, I thought it was a fuel pump, it bench tested fine. The problem was intermittent, some mornings the truck would fire up right away, others I would have to crank it and crank it till it would start. I replaced the fuel pump relay and the ecu relay on the driverside inner fender and the problem stopped. Just a thought, check it out.
