1985 Ford F150 XLT Lariat. 5.0 V8 137,xxx miles. RWD. Auto. Originally from Texas, has very little rust. Worst rusty part IMO is driver door, and driver rear fender.
-Engine leaks a small amount of oil. Has since I purchased it in 7-2005. I usually check it every week. Will add a little bit (maybe 1/4 qt.) Every 3-4 weeks. Has never given me any problems I just maintain proper oil level.
-Tailgate will not engauge when pushed up. You can push it up and it will stay, but if you pull on it, it will come back down. I planned on fixing this but never got around to it---- FIXED! Works now, yay!
-Turn signal lever (inside vehicle) must be held down in order to keep signal on. It does not click down and stay like normal. Still works but must be held down.
-Cruise control does not work, neither does the A/C.
-Rust on driver side door and rear fender.
-Cosmetic blemishes you would expect with a 25 y/o truck (scrapes, scratches, dents, dings, paint fading ect..)
-Truck has had a plethora or new parts installed. Here is what I can remember off the top of my head that have been installed since I've owned it. Most of which has been done in last 2-3 years. Starter, alternator, distributor, plugs, wires, starter solenoid, fuel pump, new calipers-rotors-pads on both sides in front last summer as well as new mastercylinders and brake lines on both sides in rear. New exhaust, new trans pan gasket, and obviously new fluid as well. 4 New tires <5K mi on them. Front end was aligned and they replaced a component up there I'm not sure exactly which as this time. Lights work, signals work, heat works awesome. New thermostat put in two winters ago. Bed is solid.
Rear window is tinted, has nice drop in bedliner, 4 bedbolts installed for more tie down anchors. Has nice Kenwood cd player, Rockford Fosgate door speakers and a shallow mount subwoofer/custom box with amp. Will have new battery put in next few days. I also have a new OEM fuel selector valve that needs to be put on. I am sure I am forgetting some things.
Truck would make a great work truck or just a nice reliable spare vehicle to have. I do not need to sell this but it has been neglected the past few years due to purchase of a new truck. I only use it to haul my dirtbike on Saturdays during the summer. I have all paperwork and receipts to verify the parts, as well as maintainece (oil changed every 3K miles). I am not sure what this would go for so I listed it at $2000 obo. I would be interested in trades for fourstroke dirtbikes (CRF250R or KX250F) maybe sport fourwheelers or small 4 cylinder cars. Send some offers, I might even be willing to add a little cash if you have something I like. Make me an offer! Yes sir it is! I just put a brand new battery in it about four days ago, and I also fixed the tailgate. The tailgate now locks into place as it should! Thanks for your interest, and your service Anymore questions just ask.
haha! I've done that before, stumbled across an old three wheeler and honda z50r on craigslist that I used to own. I'd be interested in hearing a little bit about the history of this old girl as I used it as my daily driver for about 5-6 years! What are you rebuilding and your pics didn't show up..?
