Ok guys, what are you gonna be able to get for your truck when you get your income taxes back? That is of course if you don't owe any and are even getting any tax money back. I hope I will be able to rebuild my engine and trans...Yeah I had to do some major butt kissing to be able to use the money for that but hey....it paid off. Well that is if nothing pops up unexpectedly.

I'm just hoping to break even.

Over the last several years I've had to have my employer increase my state tax withholdings so that I don't have to pay at the end of the year. Last year I think I got back $35 from the State. I had to pay the feds several hundred bucks last year. This year I'm hoping to break even......but.......(and thats a really big but)....but if I happen to get anything back it goes right into our joint checking account (i.e. the wife's checkbook) and I don't see any of it....LOL

Good luck on your rebuilds!
Bobby

I'm buying a set of used rear leaf springs from an FTE member to have re-arched.Then my front-end won't ride higher than the back.

Those of us who are self-employed pay in, no matter what. So the better question for us would be, what is our truck gonna get for us? lol

A front splash pan, door patch panel, rear fender patch panels, window rubber, and wiring harness from EZWiring.

That should put me on the road. The interior will just have to wait until summer.

new windshield and rubber
new rear window and rubber
Lokar shifter
dash insert and electronic speedo
new tires for the rear and new rims for the front.
Then drive the hell out of it and of course i will be broke.

I have an excellent CPA that has been doing my taxes forever. When I started with him i was paying $2500 each year and now i get that back plus some.

HA! You mean, what I am going to sell off my truck to pay my taxes! Actually that's not the case but...
If you are getting a return then you are paying too much in during the year...I collect the interest on my tax money and make a lump sum payment at the end of the year.

I am sure that works for your situation but for me it simply would not work as the money would disappear. For me this works and gives me lump of money to use to buy things i ordinarily couldn't. Yes i know it is a free use of my money by the govt. but like I said it works for me.

It is amazing how many Americans think this way...sounds a lot like our federal and state governments these days. A wise man once said, "be careful about the limitations you defend, for soon they will become yours".

This was my wife's year but I got her out of a Dodge Durango and into a Ford Explorer Limited, that's a big battle won in my house, her crazy parents raised her a chrysler girl.

If I get anything back it might just be an I.O.U. Since our Govt. is broke I don't expect a thrifty return. I don't loan money to "Uncle", I prefer to put in in the Bank and draw a hole .5% interest an then pay out if I have to.
