Well an update on the build, full 3 inch exhaust with electric cutouts, swapped out my edelbrock 800 cfm carb for an 850 quickfuel double pumper, fully built c6 full manual with transbrake, 2800 stall TC, Detroit locker, Moser nodular 3rd member with 3.89 gears 35 spline quick performance axles, caltracs, autometer cobalt gauges, best 1/4 mile time is 13.35 all motor. Trying for 12s all motor before doing spray. Elevation is a real *******.

Nice. very close to what I am building. Same motor and same valve covers what did you use for a booster and do you get enough vacuum for your brakes?

thanks man I appreciate it. I used the original booster I'm literally about a quarter of an inch away from the booster. To drop the motor in I had to remove the booster drop it in and then put it back on. The good thing is when the motor torques it goes to the passenger side so it doesn't come in contact with the booster at all. Well I have a decent cam in it and sometimes I'm a little low on vacuum but it does okay it stops the truck I might switch over to hide your boots later on if I upgrade the cam size.

Do the hydroboost, you'll be amazed how it can haul down your truck on the other end. Love the truck!

It was the best addition I did to the truck, I put rear disc's also and the combination provided stopping power that is like night and day. One thing to get these trucks moving but it's comforting when you know you can stop it in a reasonable distance.

What exact parts did you use, I want to do the swap.

The hydroboost is from a Chevy with a F350 master cylinder but there are lots of other options (picked mine up cheap on e-bay). The rear discs were from Blackbird Customs, slotted front rotors from NAPA. The overall difference in braking is amazing, light pedal and well modulated.
