Disabling the tire pressure monitoring system TPMS
Anybody have experience with this? I'm happy with my new rims and tires, and am not interested in having the TPMS sensors installed. Anybody have Ford disable it?
by law they cannot disable it. your best bet is to just pull the warning bulb that lights up
I'm not sure how easy it is to just pull a bulb out of a 2010 cluster but even if you could there would still be the chime and message across your DIC all the time.
I would prefer mine didn't have it as well, just another expensive item that is of no value to me.
I don't believe they will disable it. But apparently some dealers will reprogram the set minimum pressures for different tires. It's been discussed quite a bit in the 6.7L Diesel forum.
