2005 6.0 cutting out & Stalling

I have a 2005 F250 SD XLT love the truck and no real problems till last week.....was driving along and she just shut down .....crank and crank and it fired up after a few minutes....ran fine all last week .....just had the oil and filter done and fuel filters done....Starts great cold and hot ....the other morning it cut out driving but restarted right away.......on the way home from work i ran ok then bogged down and went into the mode where you can't get any revs or power till I got home .Started ok and has been ok for the last few days....Checked the connections , ect .Any help before i take it in to the dealer? Could of it been bad fuel?
thanks

That's weird, I just had a similar problem today with my excursion. I got off the highway and stopped at a red light, and the damn thing felt like it was missing, like a gas motor jumping off on cyldinders with bad plugs. Drove another 2 miles, and it just shut down. Cranked it once, nothing. Waited a minute and tried again, and it fired right back up, and never had lick of problem the rest of the day. I brought it home, checked my filters, pulled the egr valved out to see if it was gummed up, and everything looked good. I have no idea what happened.

Also it was bitter cold here last week and had a hard time at work getting her going cycled plug 2X s and it started but put a real drain on the batts...thought that plus bad fuel might be the prob?
I have a cheap code reader ....I plugged it in and no codes......as of now it seems to be running fine .....90k miles and not a lick of probs .....i hope its not the beginning of things to come, I hate getting stranded and really like my 6.0

It was 53 deg. here, I hooked my sct to check the codes, and there was nothing, so I hooked the obd II to it when I got home, and still nothing as far as codes.

Has the plastic HPOP elbow every been replaced on that engine? It is notorious for causing this kind of problem on the 2005. In 2004, the elbow was metal and in 2005, Ford switch to the plastic elbow which failed like crazy. The fix is to replace the split leaking elbow with the metal one.

You should probably also check the FICM voltage. Hard starting/no starting is a symptom of a bad FICM. I just went through this problem too with my 2005. The FICM was only putting out 35 volts and the truck was a real bugger to get started when it was cold.

well if it had never done this before your filters were changed i would trace it back to that. were factory motorcraft/racor filters used? i have heard that if one of the fuel filter O rings gets kinked or pushed out of the groove while installing (i like to smear some oil around the O ring) the fuel system will suck in air causing all sorts of bad things to happen (mainly an engine cutting out). i would re-check the things you had just done before pulling hpop's and ficm's.
