really dont NEED them but on this forum it is frowned upon to not use them. you will probly be driving it on the road most the time not needing ext brake lines. my .02

This is total BS, I installed a 4 inch in my pickup, and with the front still on the jackstands, I had to slightly bend the metal part of my extended lines so they where not tight. The rear might not need a extended line, I didnt use one on mine in the back, but the front is needed for sure.. That is unless, you take them out of the stock frame location and make a new lower bracket for it.

leave it un bolted from the frame you can run stock lines all day long. my buddys F350 has around 6inches with stock lines (much higher than an F150) yet he would probly need them if it didnt see only pavement

ur suspension hadnt even settled yet, it was probly sitting a lot higher than it is now

its do-able, just to his there own

Yep, that's some good advice there.

One good bump and its possible to pinch or break a line if not running them attached to the frame because you are too cheap to buy ~$35 worth of brake lines.

possible in your mind, not mine. i know plenty of people running there trucks like this. YOU DO WHAT YOU WANT and i will do what i want. even though i have ext brake lines on my project. you don't absolutely need them

You might not NEED them, but you can't just leave them hang at the frame end. You have to relocate where they mount on the frame, and secure them, so the lines don't flop around , and gEt a hole rubbed in them.

i feel you. just saying if the dude is on a foreal budget (enough to ask this question on a forum and not just buy the lines.) then i will say you dont absolutely need them. possible to put something around the hardline to keep from running (this is an absolute budget/ghetto status)

Have you put your lift in yet? I bought a 6" lift last week from Rough Country and installed it over the weekend. The extended brake lines that they sent me for the front are actually no longer than the stock lines. I called them and they said that they only had 1 set of lines available for that year.

I love this statement.

Im of the opinion that you need to extend the lines.
