Question iPhone 4 dash mount

Just wondering what you guys are doing to mount your iphones on your dash. Its the law here in BC to have it mounted if you are going to play with it (like your radio). Did a search and couldn't find anything.

Im looking to mount mine to the left of the radio i have tons of room behind steering wheel (manual truck so no shifter there). And that would put it in a easier to reach/see spot. Im probably going for one of the universals as i have a otterbox case on mine and it probly wont fit a normal one

I did a lot of searching for a system as well. I tried a few of the universal systems and they just plain sucked.

I ended up getting a system from ProClip. They have videos on their website and it is a very easy system to install. I've been meaning to do a review here and post some pics, but just haven't had time yet. So far I love it, having it on my truck now for about 5 weeks. It is very solid and doesn't shift, shake or bounce when I'm headed down the road or pushing on the screen. The press-fit system into the dash hasn't induced any squeaks or creaks yet.

They're bit spendy, but worth it.

I have the Pro-Fit dash mount and a clamp style holder for my i-Phone, this is an older picture with my HTC Tilt, but I put a clamp style holder on the mount.

Really? I don't know why. It's the 10th choice under "Browse By Category" on the left, or you can just scroll down the page to it.

I also included a link to Pro-fit for the mount, it is designed for the vehicle that utilizes existing mounting points without interfering in any airbags.

I wired my console for an MP3 player. All I have to do is plug in the MP3 into the harness inside the center console, then shut the lid with the player inside.

You inspired me to at least upload the pictures. Check out my garage, I made some comments there and included the part numbers.

Good luck.

I may be late to this party and you may already have bought something, but if you didnt, I got my I phone at Verizon along with an Otterbox case. Great case even if it is $50. and I got a universal phone holder with a suction cup window mount all at Verizon.
