I seen something about they my go with the units that are in the Edge or something. I never paid much attention to it when I seen it and now I can't ever remember where it was. I am just happy that mine is to be built now. Just to be safe I am keeping my fingers crossed until Thursday and I have heard it has reached "bucked" status meaning it is on the assembly line.

My window sticker was available as of last Friday. I think I have the link on page 13 of this thread. I think it was this thread... didn't look.

 

how do i track it with an order number

 

I ordered a 2011 f250 6 weeks ago and am trying to find out if it will be here within the 6-8 weeks my dealer told me ? i called anumber of ford and they guessed at an order number for me by the date I gave to them. they told me it was in processing and not built yet. That gives them but 2 weeks to build it and get it to the dealer. ASny help would be aappreciated on how i can tracck this truck, or what i should do. Thanks in advance

 

You need an order number and a dealer number. Their is a number at Ford you can call to check on it. I don't know the number or there are people on the forum that may see your post that have access to the order bank that may volunteer to help you out. Anyone at your dealership should be able to go online and tell you it's status as they have access.

Go into the Superduty forum and start a thread asking if someone can track a vehicle for you. I am sure someone will help out.

 

So what actually happens if they dont get them built by change over, do they push back the 2012 date till the 2011 orders are built or do you end up getting a 2012 model?

 

I am not sure. My guess is once they are balanced out as it is called the remainder of the orders most likely get cancelled. My thinking is with the changes that come between model years and what options are available, colors, etc. that they would not want the headache of sorting through all of them and seeing which ones can be built and which need to be changed. It would be easier to send all the remaining orders back to the dealers and have them resubmit them when they start production back up. This is just my thinking, I could be out to lunch.

 

yeah i have no idea either, i would assume after being in business for over 100 years that they'd have it down to a science as far as being able to keep an eye on orders coming in and how long it would take to build those and getting them built before change over, thus creating an order cut off date that you always hear about.

 

The order cut off date was May 6th.

dealer told me they expect to have it in my hands by May 31
