I have been looking for a new truck and came across one that fits what I am looking for. The truck is a 2005 4x4 with a V10 Crewcab longbed with 51,000 miles on it. On the carfax report at 44,000 miles it said "Engine removed for repair" at a Ford dealer in Valencia, CA. The truck is at a used car lot by my house in Anaheim, CA and they do not have any more info on it. I just want some opinions, is this something that I should be concerned with or not. If they had to remove the engine it would seem that it was something serious. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

 

Contact the Ford Dealer and ask for more information on the repairs. Make sure you have the VIN and plate number. I've done this before...I'm batting 500, once refused to provide any information the other provided details on the repair. Good luck!

 

Get an Oasis. Any dealer can run one for free. that will tell you exactly what has been done. Carfax is very easy to get around.
