You almost need some special tools to get the box off the truck. A pickle fork to seperate the pitman arm from the drag link. Flare nut wrenches to remove the pressure lines from the top of the box, you may get them loose with an open end wrench but you don't want to round them off. Other than that just basic hand tools to get the box off the vehicle. After the box is removed from the vehicle you should have a pitman arm puller to remove the pitman arm from the box, a regular puller may work but some of them are really tough.

The seals come in kits. A bottom kit(which you would need) and a top kit where the steering wheel shaft goes in. It would be your call as to whether to use a top kit. Don't try to use up all the parts in the kits.

I clicked on the link you posted and skimmed through it. There was mention of removing those steel *****, I personally don't go that far, I just install the outside seals and associated parts. Good luck.

As stated before, the kits come in reference to "Top" or "Bottom"....

The bottom kit costed me like $8 from car quest.....And WD-40 will be your best friend as far as the hoses goes....I just went ahead and swapped mine for new ones on my 94'.....

You can borrow the puller from AutoZone, the fluid lines came right off for me using standard wrench. Nows the time to change the lines if they are chafed or showing any rot.
