chip help please!!

Looking at a chip a guy has forsale. He wants 150 shipped to me. Its a DP, but its tuned for a e99 with AD sticks. Thats not going to work for me is it? And another guy has one forsale DP Tuner F-5, for 95 5 speed. Will either work for now or am i better off just buying new?

You'd have to get them reburned for your truck.

that doesn't sound like a very good deal to me i just bought mine from dp tuner last week.. the chip itself was 200, but that was the f-5.. not sure which one you are gettting from this guy.. and by the time you have it reburned for your truck with shipping, and i am sure you would be charged to for making the tunes that are on there work for your truck... you will prolly be in just as deep as getting a brand new one.. that style switcher isn't that expensive.. i would look at dp tuner online before i bought a used chip for that price.. just my opinion.. good luck

yeah but thats just the chip thats 200$ thats not including the tunes. how jody does the reburn i dont know, i was told for mine a few months ago that it was 50$, now if thats 5$ becuase ive got 6 tunes on there already and i get them all reburned or if you have 2 tunes and you only get 2 reburned tunes i dont know. give them a buzz and see what they say on that.

kris what tunes does that 5spd have for tunes on it? that would work but i dont htink it will take care of your loping when you first start because youll still have an auto pcm. i personally think the lope sounds BA LOL

"For chips purchased used that are sent in for reprogramming to a new PCM code its a flat fee of $50 to reburn the chip. For different modifications its $25 per each performance tune plus return shipping."

That's copied and pasted right off DP's website. You're welcome.

see...dp is VERY expensive. im going back to matt once i find another ts chip. his reburns are a flat 200$ i believe for a new customer with a chip and free after that or 10$ or something really affordable. ive also been really itching to try beans tunes....i know there dyno is something stupidly off and no one will admit it but ive heard some good stuff from there tunes..

I think its 150 for Matt. I think... I might have his price confused with TW's though now that i'm second guessing myself.

Kris.....If it were me... I would hold out for a TS style chip and then look into Swamps, TW or Gearheads tunes...

kris you should come down here one day and try the chip i sold to shaun. hes basically let 5 trucks test drive it so whats another one? LOL its the gearhead chip i bought a week before the fire so i never got to try it in my red truck but i tossed it in joe hinchs truck, richs, mine and they all flat out ripped. its burnt for an auto but it will work in yours if you want to try a GOOD tuner.

i never said they were bad, i love the tunes. truck is extremely responsive. gets great milage and has more power than what tony had for me. smoke clears up great too, just there prices push me away. if i wanted to pay that much for a loaded tuner id have a 6.4 with a spartan to get ever cent out of it
