F-150 electrical problem

I HAVE A 2005 f-150 LARIET 5.4 lt. I have been having a problem with my battery being drained. My stereo has been staying on once the truck has been turned off. It has also been coming on when the truck is parked all by itself and draining the battery. Sometimes when i am driving in the truck and turn the stereo on it wont come on, ten minutes down the road the stereo will all of a sudden come on. I have tried removing the relay for the stereo, no difference. I have also removed all fuses for the stereo and entertainment system, yet the draining of the battery is still occurring. If anyone has any idea what the problem could be i would apprciate any help.

There is a power control module that powers the radio. I don't know where is is, but I would suspect that. Did you pull fuses 1, 7 and 31?

Also, is it an aftermarket radio or stock?

im not sure which fuse numbers it was now, im not where the truck is now, but i know it was every fuse that had to do with the stereo. The stereo is a stock stereo.

I would guess it's an internal short in the radio. There is always power to the radio from fuses 7 and 31. You could also have a sticking Accessory delay relay in the CJB.

Hi.The vehicle security module controls that. It has to get a door ajar signal to shut off accessories. The module is located behind the rear seat backrest on the left side. The most common problem is a corroded wire in the wire loom under the sill plate. It is a purple wire splice connection.
