Blower Motor Not Blowing

Blower Motor Not Blowing
I found a red wire with black stripe that was cut and the other end of it had been spliced so it could be hooked to 12V with key on.....so....I got rid of the hack job. So can someone verify for me that the orange wire coming from the connector on the back of the heater controls ties into the red/with black stripe wire?? Im not talking about the switch for the blower motor....Im referring to the connector thats plugged into the heater control panel itself. Has Lt green/ white stripe wire with red/black stripe and the orange wire coming out of it and goes towards blower motor. Tried to upload pic from my phone but no luck.

I think the orange wire goes all the way to the blower motor. Check this thread, there are some pics: https://www.ford-trucks.com/forums/9...ml#post9326574

Thanks....
For the link with pics. I posted up a little quick last night....I found a schematic in my Chiltons book that eventually answered my question. But the links were good to read for future reference if I end up going that route. So yes, my hunch was correct. The P.O had the hot wire from the fuse box plugged into the wrong connector, and wire was cut so he added a wire for
12V hot to the blower switch.
12V hot to the blower switch.
