Not possible for cheap, changing gears will help to get you back into the power range if your flooring it alot unless you already have lower gears like 4.10's.

Driving it gently will help, and its free

I'm currently saving up for some lower gears. Cuz I need more power too.

I'll second the better gears and speedometer recalibration comments. If you really want better mileage, take the lift and big tires off and just run 31 10.50s.

Believe it or not my mileage went up with larger tires, this was really cause it had the effect of giving me taller gears, the right gearing can make a huge difference. So what kinda RPMs you running on the highway?

Next would be some ignition timing tweaks, careful need to know what your doing, but done right it's free.

After that tuning/tune up, and it goes on from there.

I went from 35x14.50x16.5's to 265x75x16's and my speedometer is about 10 mph faster than im really going and my mpg dropped off drastically. 87 f250 4x4 3:55 gears and a 5.0. at 65 mph i am running about 2600 rpm

Everybody blows off the speedo issue like it's nothing, but it contributes to bad fuel milage in two ways. The first thing with larger tires is that the odometer is not clocking as many miles as you're actually travelling so your fuel consumption will look artifically high when you crunch the numbers. The second thing is that the vehicle is actually travelling faster than what the speedo shows, with 35s on an F250 for example when the speedo shows 60mph you're actually doing 70mph and with the aerodynamics of these trucks drag increases exponentially at these speeds so that 10mph will have a hugh effect on fuel consumption. Recalibating the speedo on '92+ trucks is a simple and free procedure accomplished by reprograming the PSOM HOW TO RECALIBRATE THE SPEEDOMETER ON 92-96 FORD F-SERIES AND BRONCO .: Articles, on older trucks you have to replace the driven gear on the end of the speedo cable, it's not free but it's pretty cheap and easy.

with the 35's my speedo was right on the money. now it is off 10 mph so at 60 on the speedo im actually doing 50. used to do 55 at 1800 rpm now to do 55 i am at about 2300 rpm.

The type of tire can make a difference as well. A wide agressive tread has a lot more rolling resistance than a narrow highway tread.
