I posted in a navigation thread but no answers yet.
We just bought our 2007 Lincoln Navigator. Unfortunately the navigationsystem does not have a main highway road that we frequent. I hate to pay 199.99 for a new map and it is also outdated. Does anyone know the apx date 9P came out and how often updates get released? Or maybe even a place to buy it cheaper
Gordonzoo,
I updated to the 8P version in my Expy so if you want I can check and see if the road / highway your looking for is in there. That way you you'll know whether or not to buy that version. Just post it or send me a PM.
Do you know what version is in your Nav now? I would guess either 4P or 6P.
Yes I have 4P
It's in Ma. Rt-44 that connects Carver and Plymouth. The old 44 was a single lane that crept thru side roads. RT 44 is now a HY that is 4 lane and about 5yrs old now. I would hope any of the newer versions would have the road.

Rich, thats funny, I know that section of road really well. I remember when it dumped you out at the go-kart place then went thru neighborhoods. It was like you drove over 20 miles just to get 10 miles east. I was thinking you were gonna name some strange obscure section of dirt road in the backwoods.
Anyways, I have version 8P in my Expy and version 6P in my truck and both have Rt 44 going straight from the rotary in Middleboro ( where the Dunkin's is ) all the way to Rt 3. So if thats all you need just pick up a 6P version ( cheap $ ) or if you want to get the lastest get the 8P ( pricey $ )
Perfect, Thanks a bunch Matt We live in Middleboro and it took forever to build that stretch of pavement and a while afterwards for some of the portable GPS's to finally show it. When we got our Navi a couple weeks back I couldnt believe it was happening again.fficeffice" />>>
I emailed Navtec asking the same question. They kept avoiding my question but finally got the response I was looking for. 9P was released in May 2010. Updates are released every 12-18 months. I broke down and purchased the 9P back in November. Alot of roads/highways that were missing from 6P are updated but noticed some still missing. I didn't expect it to be perfect. 10P release could be May, could be November.
I'm probably blind, but I can't see any options to send a private message here? Interesting. Email me at digexx (at) gmail.com and I'll give you the info on what I did to get and make it work.
