i need some advice on buying a truck. it's a 1977 f150 styleside. single cab with short bed. two-tone white and silver. its got the 351m, automatic transmission, and about 80k miles. body is basically perfect. guy wants $2500 for it. does this sound like a good deal? i don't have too much experience with the 73-79 trucks. this truck's been taken care of, though. current owner purchased it from an older person. only thing i know is wrong with it is a minor rust issue with bottom of driver's door, needs a wheel cylinder, and has a power steering leak. otherwise, immaculate.

 

I bought my 77 11 years ago for $500. That thing was a rusted out, leaked everything POS, but it was cheap to fix, parts are readily available and it only died on me once. Is it a 4x4 or 4x2? sounds fair to me if it is that nice, but I live in "salt the hell out of them roads USA" so everything that old that is nice commands a high price here.
