2002 F-350 STOPS RUNNING WHILE DRIVING, CRANKS AFTER 1 HOUR AND DOES IT AGAIN. HELP!
I have had 4 cam position sensors replaced in the last 2 months. Dealer code reads P0340. Runs for a few days and quits. Last week #4 was installed and before we got 5 miles from dealership went dead again. All of these times if you let the engine cool down....30-45 mins...will crank and run again. Back to dealer and they say INJECTOR PRESSURE REGULATOR is bad. They say if was still reading code P0340.00They want $620.00 to repair. Could this REALLY be the problem??? Can I replace this part? Where is the part located? Can I buy the part at a parts house less than dealer? ANY help would be appreciated.

I would go with the IPR as well on this. There is an IPR tube that you can clean out if it isn't rusted through, as well as the bracket for the IPR itself. This tends to get built up with carbon and clog it. Do a search in the 1999 - 2003 7.3L Power Stroke Diesel forum for IPR. You will get plenty of info in there.
