hi lookin for some help w/DS2 ignition prob causin back fire out carb and engine miss.While checkin for spark at distrib I found if I barely let coil wire touch Terminal post on distrib engine runs great.But when I push coil wire all the way on distrib problem returns.crazyest thing I ever seen.Tried another coil and wire still have problem.THinkin maybe ballist resistor wire?or module?any help thanks in advance

 

Most of the time when a missfire is cured by reducing spark intensity there is a cracked dist cap or rotor or carbon tracking causing a missfire. Also there is the possibility of a cracked insulator on a spark plug or a shorted plug or wire.
