I think we all thought that was exactly what you meant. But you just meant electric trains, with generators near water.

So you'd put the generators in Mobile?

BTW, no such thing as a nuclear generator. Nuclear water heaters we got.

On the nuke powered railroad [not an expert opinion,] I was thinking of dedicated nuclear powered generators putting voltage on a hot third rail that becomes part of the motors. It's an old idea for high speed rail.

Interesting. But my, also non expert opinion, is that it would also be a hard sell. the third rail is already viewed as very dangerous in the subway system, I cant imagine trying to convince a board of politicians that it would be okay exposed to the open public.
