Standard receiver hitch?

Standard receiver hitch?
I've looked at the specs on the Ford site but I'm still not clear on this point. What is the standard trailer hitch that comes with an F-150? (I'm specifically interested in a Lariat if that matters)
I am assuming there is a 2" receiver hitch with a 4 or 5 pin connector?
I know that if you purchase the Trailer Tow Package, you get a Class IV hitch with a 7-pin connector. But I don't have a need that justifies the added expense of the package, and I'm wondering what you get if you don't order it.
Thanks

If you are looking at the Lariat, I believe the trailer tow pkg comes with it. It's also included with an FX4 (at least around these parts). In addition to the Class IV hitch and 7 pin connector, the TT pkg includes an aux trans oil cooler, the select shift trans. and an upgrade to the rad.
It really pays to spend some time on the Ford "build it" site to see what comes with which pkg. I was planning on an XLT or Lariat, but it ended up an FX4 gave me what I wanted. Another item to look at is the Off-Road pkg for a XLT or Lariat (included w/FX4), although it's not easy to fine. I think you back into it if you select the 3.73 elect. locker. It doesn't show in the packages as an option to select, but will show up checked if you get the 3.73 elec locker.

In reviewing the F-150 brochure last night, I reallzed that the Lariat does come with a tow package as described above. I hadn't realized that there are TWO trailer tow packages. When I read that the Max Tow Package was an option, I assumed that was the only one. My mistake.
Thanks all for the replies.

I think all trucks should come with a reciever with no questions asked. Buddy just got a 2010 Ram 1500 a few months back, very nice truck, texas edition. I walked around back and no hitch. This guy used to pull trailers all the time, now he hasnt touched one because he doesnt want to hook up to his bumper.
I would never buy a truck withough a tow package. whether I tow a trailer or not, its just good to have.

Yeah, but those bumpers then were tough. Not like the thin metal and plastic we have today. So buying a bumper then was like buying a tow package now. You could hook anything to those old bumpers and they wouldnt budge.

itch Wiring?
Can someone tell me what this connection is? It came off my 95 f150 and it was attached to the hitch. It has two male pins inside. Thank you.
