Should I replace my y-pipe on my 08?

Can someone please tell me if it would be worth the $$$ to replace the y-pipe on my 08? I need to have the exhaust manifold replaced and that would be the best time to do it in one shot. I just can't find on here if my 08 has a somewhat restricted stock y-pipe like the older 5.4's. Thank you.

Your y pipe is high flow compared to the Pre-2002 Super duties. I think 2003+ had the higher flowing y pipe. I know that after the 2005+ model years the exhaust is much less restrictive.

No. Leave your 3V y pipe alone, it's free flowing from the factory. My 03 V10 had the restrictive pipe, that ended after 04 with the 3V.

My 2004 had the restrictive y-pipe from the factory. It's long gone now along with the giant converter.

Y pipe isn't even an issue on the '08 and up.
