Leaking diesel fuel.

I have fuel leaking from my secondary fuel filter housing. It appears to be leaking in-between the side of the filter housing and where the supply lines bolt onto the housing with the 4 bolts. Is there o-rings back there or is it a gasket? Has anyone ever had this problem. It's an 2006 6.0

There is an o-ring like gasket that seals that on, also each fuel line has an o-ring that seals it at the fittings.

Mine was leaking from the cap between the threads. I was told that the O-ring was shrinking when cold. I had to buy a new O-ring for it. No more leak!

Are they 2 small o-rings, or a gasket?

I had the same leak on mine. There should be just one "keyhole" shaped rubber ring behind the plate. Be careful not to let the spring or cup come out on you when you remove torx screws and the plate.

Florida_1959, is that a dealer item or can you pick it up at a parts store?

Intrested to know this too. Was warming the truck up this morning and noticed fuel driping on top of the axle, Popped the hood and I could smell raw fuel, upon further inspection I can see fuel dripping every 5 seconds or so from the right side of the housing below the lines and towards the bottom. Does anyone have a diagram of the housing?

Here is the number for the Regulator cover gasket 3C3Z-9C065-AA .

It takes a 27 torx bit to remove the 4 screws from this cover: Page 30: Fuel Supply System

Thanks npccpartsman: Would it be a good Idea to purchase to 3v3z-9T517-AG and upgrade the spring as Well? I am at work and have not had a chance to begin the repair.

If you have a Navistar dealership near you try this number: 1843065C98 .

It's cheaper because it doesn't contain the cover (unnecessary replacement IMHO) and YES it would be a good time to upgrade. There may also be an updated Navistar part number than what I have posted but they should be able to interchange it.

This is the kit number without the cover: 1854267c94

Is it better to upgrade the spring? If so why? And Is it cheaper to get the part from ford or go to an international dealership?

I called International and gave them the part number. The parts guy stated that there system shows all Ford Fuel components to be locked out of there system, and can no longer sale those items. WTF! And to answer the question above in most cases Navistar (international) can proved much better pricing on OE Engine components than the Damn Ford dealership.

Did you use the international part number??? Did you tell them you were working on a ford?
