Odometer roll-over at 400k?

Ok i was reading on another thread, psn iirc, that our odometers might roll over at 400k miles and go back to 300k. there was no real answers on there so i thought i would ask here, plus i havent seen anyone post that they have 400k plus and that has me worried since i have 338k. And im wondering if i have a true 338k miles or something else? anyone no if this is true or not, have any experience with this in our trucks?

What if people buying low mile PSD's now are actually buying trucks that broke 400K. That would be horrible.

1994.5 here and just rolled over to 400 and it went back to 300 so you are correct.maybe that is why i keep finding so many trucks with under 400 on them !

Yep, they will roll back to 300k. It would be nicer if they just bumped back to zero. LOL. Then there would be no doubt since a 400+k mile truck will look far from a 26k mile truck. haha. Guess you will have to call around to previous owners and ask them if the ODO has ever rolled over.

I think it's just great to be driving a vehicle on which this can become an issue! If it weren't a PSD, you'd never have to worry about it because it wouldn't make it to 400k. Sounds like I will see shortly whether mine does the same thing!

I would assume so.. Now I am going to be on the search for a 400k+ truck, just to see what I can come up with!

When buying, now a person really must wonder..

They all do it . I would guess after 400 , it has more than proven itself ...Its up to the driver /owner to keep track of how many times it rolls back ...

Wait.. are you saying your odometer actually reads 498873 or does it read 398873? and yea this has gotten me on the thought of tracking down the po and asking them how many or if its rolled over 400k yet? and now it makes me want to buy my next psd at less than 300k.
Hey anyone know if i do a carfax will it give out like a phone number or something of the po?
