I have an older Edge Insight monitor in my 2005 F350 and want to replace it with the new Insight CTS monitor. I know my existing EGT probe must be replaced, but does anyone know if the existing fitting screwed into the exhaust manifold has to come out? I'm hoping the new probe can just be screwed into the old fitting.

 

Yes the thread sizes are the same for both probes.

whats the problem you are having ou tof curiosity? WHats the difference between the two units? I am thinkin of buying another 6.0 and come to the conclusion I will need one of these to monitor eot and act if I do buy another 6.0. Doin research now, ofcoarse.

 

The display is starting to discolor on one side. I have a friend who had the Insight and his went out after the display began to discolor.

 

out of curosity... have you contacted edge about the screen? i bought a used one a few months back and had it direct shipped to edge. they said the egt probe was bad and the corner of the color screen was black. they sent me a "new" reconditioned unit free of charge.they even paid for the shipping back to me. they had also done this previously with a juice w/ attitude unit on a diffferent truck. they seem to have excellent customer service.
