Diesel mechanic on Eastern Long Island, NY?

I bought '03 Excursion with the 6.0l Diesel. The truck is slightly lifted and seems to have been upgraded with "stuff" because there are additional gauges - and I have no idea what they do or what I supposed to be looking for. I am looking for a good diesel mechanic on eastern Long Island, New York who can explain what all this means. Any recommendations?
Cheers, Chris

Actually I did the lift at another friends place that has a lift. It's the ProComp lift and 35" tires. According to ProComp it's roughly a 4" lift.

The Diesel shop is a different place in Huntington -- they really are Diesel experts and if I had one - they would be the only place around that I would let work on it. Real nice guys and they know their stuff.

If you cannot find one that knows the 6.0 real well, use Ford. They do know the engine well. You are better off paying a little more and getting someone who knows the engine than someone who thinks they know it.

Technically, my experience is that anyone who is good generally charges the same labor rates as the dealer and at Ford, you get Ford parts.

Good luck.
