Exclamation 88 f150 dies randomly, starts back up

i got a 88 f150 302 5 speed. the truck run excellent, no check engine codes or anything. while driving, randomly the truck dies all of the sudden, does it randomly, 5 min 1 time, 1 hour the next. when it dies, the truck starts right back up and runs fine again and i can go on my way. the truck has a fairly new fuel pump, filter and the ignition module and coil has been changed recently as well. any clues where to start ? only thing i could thin of is possibly the distributor pickup?? the truck has the dual tanks as well if that matters. any help would be appreciated. thanks

Which fuel pump was replaced. There is a high pressure pump on the frame and a low pressure pump in each tank. If you are able to use both tanks, does the problem happen from one or both?

Could be the intank pump not keeping enough fuel going to frame pump. My front tank used cause a stall usually when I was coasting to a stop. PSI was low at rail, about half what it should be. I replaced, still have that problem but crossflow problem fixed. Mine is a 1990 with two pump system. You may want to see if you are getting correct PSI at rail.

Need Information on 1988 F150

I have an 1988 f150 302 that stalls while driving 30-35 mph only. Cuts out completely. My mechanic had it for two months and could not get it to reproduce the condition, no codes showed. Replaced battery, firewall relay from battery, fuel pumps all three, fuel pump relay, steering column switch, and starter, all to no avail. Still stalls. Any ideas? What was the solution to your problem? Thanks. Tom.
