What's the power like...I think it's rated at 300 hp or so....does that rating seem to be right ?
I think the tow rating is quite high for the base V6. I'm sure as the truck is new, you wouldn't have any experience towing with it yet.
Be interesting to see how it does towing .

It has plenty of power. Feels faster than my 04 5.4 Triton. It likes to rev. If you use the power it drinks like Charlie Sheen. I'm actually getting much worse fuel economy than my 2004. Waiting to see if that changes in different patterns of driving and sources of fuel. My guess is that we're getting a special mixed for a big city gas where I live and spending too much time in Starbucks parking lots if you know what I mean.

The Custom Package is great. It is the best deal I've ever seen for the interior trim, grille, wheels, running board, body color bumpers, fog lamps, seat cloth ... for like $750:

I am curious to what your year to date average will be after 12 months and four seasons of driving.
Winter up here in SD is brutal on my Ranger MPG.
My year to date average with towing, stop and go, winter etc. was about 16MPG in my 99 F150 4x2 Super cab 3.08 rear gear 5 speed V6. I could hit 22 highway but towing would drop to 15 and winter was about 14 city.
My current Ranger 4x2 supercab with the 2.5 four, 5 speed and 4.10 rear gear averages 22MPG per year. I can hit 27 highway but towing drops it to 17 and winter about 20.
So I am about 6MPG better in my Ranger than i was in my F150. I could be interested in the 2011 4x2 Supercab XLT Custom 3.7V6 though if I could year to date average 19-20MPG.

Winters are not so bad here in Atlanta and the truck lives indoors, so it does not typically get cold start cycles. There is a lot of local traffic which moves at 20 to 35 miles per hour. With the neat 4.2 inch display it is easy to see the fuel economy increase as the vehicle accelerates into lower gear ratios. I'm just under 400 miles and will post as this develops. Loving the truck and the 3.7.
Be nice to see some more owners on here to give us a cross section.
Sorry to bore everyone with more pictures, but I do like this Custom Package:
