Real quick what size speakers in a crew cab

Replacing my front and rear speakers. What size are they?

You may want to consider the depth of replacements as well.

I put four of these in my truck and they sound great, even without an amp (for now).

Crutchfield is a great source for options.

but def better prices elsewhere

I also thought they were 5 x 7's. That's what I was told by a salesman at a local car audio store who sells and installs high end systems. We're all talking 99 - 03 crew cabs here right?

I replaced mine with Pioneer TS-A6840R speakers.

They were a great fit at 6" x 8".

5x7 and 6x8 fit in the holes in these trucks. I have aftermarket 5x7's in my F350. Fwiw, the 'size' does little to determine sound quality (or quantity)...

5x7 and 6x8 have the same size mounting pattern but the 6x8 will be a tighter fit and have a bit more backpressure so it will sound better but most probably wont notice the difference
