No Ethanol Please

I wish some of these stations were close to me. I signed the petition hope someone will listen. Ethanol-free gas stations in the U.S. and Canada

Obama couldn't kill our Excursions and older cars with cash for clunkers so he is going to kill them by poisoning the fuel system with ethenol.

I have 7 cars, all are 2005 and older and with the exception of my Ex all can run on regular unleaded, but none were designed for E-15. I hope the petition works.

Doesn't it take more energy to make ethanol than the amount of energy you get out of it?

Another reason to get a oil burner. They haven't figured out how to lose 10% mpgs with diesel yet. Another benefit they figure (but won't tell you) is the increased fuel taxes they get by everyone buying more gas to go the same distances. It's a win win

Thats a good point about the increased fuel tax revenue, never thought about that

Great point about the taxes...I have seriously thought about going CNG...BUT...the premium to buy the CNG car is crazy...but one thing I thought about was if you do have a CNG car how do the fed's collect "road use" taxes from natural gas I pump from my home compressor???

They probably don't. It's subsidized to encourage alternative fuel sources. That's my guess...I could be wrong.

I heard that diesel fuel and home heating oil is the same thing except heating oil has a red dye in it. You get caught doing that and you could be in big trouble.

More and more friends of mine are pumping heating oil in their rigs.
Cops are doing some sporadic checks on fuel but only on vehicles with commercial plates.

It's my understanding they already have the technology for the proprietary connector to have a meter attached that will "register" how much tax needs to be collected.

If you find one let us know if there is a difference after a couple of tanks.
Thanks

It has been proven time and time again.

E85 uses 33% more fuel to run correctly than the same vehicle using regular gas.

So now take a vehicle not made for ethanol and run a 15% mix in it, what happens? I'll tell you what happens, the vehicle doesn't know to compensate for the ethanol which in turn makes it run hotter, takes more throttle to make up the loss hp which causes bad mileage, it carbons up injector nozzles, valves, exhaust ports, catalytic converters, etc, it ruins rubber seals, hoses, fuel pumps, etc, its all bad!

It takes more fuel for the tractors, semis, trains to produce and transport ethanol than the actual ethanol that is being produced.

Ethanol is plain crap!
