Fuse #8 Short

Just bought a 91 f150 for $150 and need some help on a few things. The truck doesn't have a radio in it and everytime I put a fuse in the #8 slot it blows immediately, obviously indicating a short or bad ground. I have power on the black/orange wire and believe the green/yellow wire is the problem. I was wanting to know if anyone can tell me where all this green/yellow wire goes to. I cannot seem to find the problem anywhere. I dont know if the problem is somewhere going to one of the interior lights, maybe a bad ground somewhere, or maybe since the radio wiring harness was cut out if this could be the problem since the radio isnt connected. None of the wires from the harness are touching so this isnt casuing a short. Also, how do you change the throttle postion sensor? I changed the IAC today and was going to tackle the TPS until I saw that you cant really get to the screws holding it on. Do you have to take the whole throttle body off to do this? I hope not. Any help that ya'll can give would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

Check your cig lighter. I dropped a dime in mine once and blew the 8 immediately. And the little plate that covers the fuse panel should tell you what else is on that fuse. I'd just run thru it all.

Fuse #8

Thanbks for the reply, I will definitely check the lighter. I have checked the panel and see everything that 8 supplies, just wondering if anyone actually knows the physical location of the wires that goes to everything for that fuse (interior lights, warning chimes, etc.). Just trying to make locating the bad wire/short easier. Also, what about the TPS, does anyone have an answer for that? Thanbks again for the idea 94.

The TPS on my 5.8L equipped F350 is a real bear to get to. IMHO it is impossible to change without removing the throttle body or the entire upper intake. The 5.0L intake looks like it has a little more room.

Rla, I can't can I know how much more room if any there is between the two, but I do know there isn't much room either way. Its looking like I may have to take the throttle body off. Thanks for the info. If anyone out there has any help with either of these please let me know, thanks again.
