ICP/IPR numbers

Hey guys what is the normal ICP and IPR numbers at idle. I did a IPR swap. Before I did the swap my numbers were ICP 480 and IPR 9%. After the swap I had ICP 520 and IPR 18%. Which of the two are the correct numbers?

Thanks

Both ICP numbers are normal, the duty cycle for the 2nd one is not.

Should be more like 10-12% duty cycle at idle, fully warm engine, stock HPOP. 9% would be fine. 18% is pretty high for idle.

Okay so that mean the IPR could be bad? What could happen if I continue running it that way, could it cause any damage to anything?

It's not going to damage anything. I just don't know why a brand new IPR would register 18% duty cycle at idle, with everything else being the same.

Well now I'm thinking it's not,got IPR from Kupaa to try out and see if that would help figure out my problem. That IPR came with a new pump that he got,may have been used a little.

It's supposed to be a new ipr but I used it for a few months. It's just been sitting for 5 years.

How did the o-rings on the IPR look? Did you lube them up well before you installed it?

Yep got them lubed. Actually I was doing a few WOT runs today and on one run it just fell on its face. I had my scanner hooked up and when I looked at my IPR it was at 88% and it stayed there. Lght came on and made it back to shop. Turned truck off, restarted truck and light was gone and truck ran okay, but IPR was still at 17%@idle. Got home swaped back original,IPRis back to 10%@idle. What happened did the IPR get stuck?
I guess I better get a oring kit ordered.

Yes, it sounds like the IPR got stuck. You can try taking it apart and rebuilding it, but it sounds like your old one is working better.

Sticking IPR. Sitting for 5 years can do that.
