Prices of the 2004 much higher????
I payed a visited to my local Ford dealer to get some prices on 2003 models. I ask them about pricing on the new 2004s and they said that the prices would be significantly higher than the 2004 models. The reason why I was told was the way that it will be built.???If this is true thats a bummer for the people that cant afford a quality built truck.
And what the deal with manual transmission in N.East US???? Are there any???? I can't find jack...

My Ford dealer got his first order information last week, he needs to wait a few months before placing orders though. The prices on them are "comparable" to new '97 trucks in '96. Of course you aren't going to get the $3000.00 Cash Back like the old body style. But one thing that is going to keep the price a little higher, is that there is very little parts sharing. Even the parts that they do share, they alter just a little from model to model.
If you want a quality truck, you need to pay for it. If not, vist GM or Dodge and get ripped off.

I was told by my local Ford dealer about a month ago that the new F150's will have to be priced similarly or they just won't sell, just don't expect any rebates or any finanicng options.
This was also the case in the recent March/April issue of Truck Trend... their hunch is that Ford's bottom line profit will have to take a loss, simply because the average Joe can't afford much more than what's already out there.
We'll have to wait and see I guess...
My dealer told me that ordering the new '04 F150 could start as early as April - for fall delivery. If that's true, we need only wait one month...

Interesting... I think my dealer was feeding me a line of poop. He probably wanted to sell me a 2003 today and not wait . Whatever.
Now Im thinking. Im looking to buy a F150/250 at the end of this fall. Originally I was set on the 04 model but I probably could get a great deal on 03s that did not sell yet. Right? I still don't know.

You got that right- you know, a bird in the hand.....
They're afraid to let you wait, 'cause you might buy somewhere else in the meantime. Better to sell you a truck now.

Pricing should be close, but I'd imagine you'd get a higher rebate on the '03. Most dealers should be willing to deal more closely on the '03, but you have to settle for whatever they have left. If a leftover fits your requirements, and you're going to keep the vehicle a long time, then go for the '03. Too many times, however, I see people buy the leftover and then take it on the chin when they try to trade it in a few years later. If you trade on a regular basis (every 4 years or less), and you like the '04 better, then wait for the new model. You'll be a lot happier, and better off financially.

Yes, the 2004 F150 is coming out with rebates, read the thread "Rebate Already on '04 F150". A recent article put by Ford.
I was call buy a very close friend of mine that works at Ford and he is putting an order for me at the end of March, with delivery on August.
I don't know if prices are going up, but I expect at least a difference of $1000.
I hope this helps...
