I'm looking for someone near me (Binghamton, NY area) who has a 6.2 with either the fifth wheel prep or rails installed that would allow me to test pull my 2010 Cougar 293SAB. I can't pull the trigger on a purchase of this magnitude without trying this truck with my camper attached. I'm willing to compensate someone for time/expenses+++. Probably an hour or so of your time. I know many of you are towing with this engine and while I value your opinions, there is nothing like seat of the pants trials for something like this.
You might want to try the NY state chapter, as well as Vermont or Pennsylvania. Maybe even Massachusetts, or Connecticut.
You never know when someone in another state is venturing into New York with a 5th wheel, and would be willing to take half a day to help you out.
Good luck, and report back here if you find anyone

Biggziff, I really wish I could help you out here, I would love to see how it does as well as I'm close to pulling the trigger on a Heartland Cyclone (300C).
Are you fulltiming with the 5th wheel or just some weekend travels? I'll only be out 5-10 times a year so the diesel dually wasn't in the budget.

We travel 6-10 times a year for a total of maybe 5000 miles.
