I am no expert, but I can see liability changing if you do an work to that engine. What is a judge to say, if the engine place says, he destroyed the engine by working on it.
I am not a lawyer, but I have seen some strange things happen in courts of law. Like right now, a contractor is trying to sue my agency for something we did not even produce and that he was trying to sell to us, lol. Crazy!!!
Good luck in your battle.

Greg, Welcome to FTE. Man I hate it when this happens. Like keeping a car that old up and running is not enough, somebody comes along and screws up the overhaul. What did they do? Bearings, rings, head work? It is possible that it is something simple unless the engine is knocking. Are you able to start the engine? Did it have oil pressure when you picked it up? Why do you say it has no oil pressure? It is possible the gage is not working. Are you able to do mechanical work? We could help you trouble shoot the thing. An overhead oiler kit is not going to help. Answer the questions and post back.

Don't tamper with any thing if your taking'em to court leave it how it is and let them give you a nice new one when you win!!!if you installed a top oiler or whatever was mentioned above, thats gonna start complicating the complaint. Cuase then they could say your overhead oiler was installed wrong and there goes the oil pressure and guess who's fualt that would be? yours.
hope you get you stuff straight one way or the other...
