Talking Where to buy!

Ford 6.0, 6.0l powerstroke engine, 5r110w transmission - Diesel Redemption has the parts for this. They sell the complete used part. Those guys are great and the stabilizer is only a couple bucks through them.

I wanted to get mine in before the weekend and he rush shipped mine to me for $70... Seriously great dudes over there.

Contact Jeff and he'll hook you up.

His email jeffb60md@aol.com

My van had a stabilizer installed, but I still had a bit of wander so I had my alignment guy adjust the caster to 5.5 degrees. It steers much better now, but I noticed my stabilizer was leaking oil when I removed it to install a new alternator.

I want to replace the leaking stabilizer, But it looks like I don't have the same mounting system. My stabilizer has threaded rod on both ends.

Does anyone have a guess what I have so I can find a replacement?

Thanks!

I'd take that shock into a local parts seller and see if they can match it up with something available.

The double threaded ends are odd for a steering stabilizer, at least the one's we've seen and discussed here.

I wanna think Monroe would be a good place to start looking, perhaps they have fit & match by size etc on their website?

Adding 5+ degrees caster is a known improvement in the E-Series---were special bushings used to achieve that in your E-Series?

If so, I can make one easily.
If not what is the angle ?

I can't see paying 60 bucks for it.

Backing up just a bit post-wise I believe 1978 was the change over year, where the current suspension came into being. Chances are these brackets can be fitted that far back but I don't know for certain, just a WAG here.

Monroe makes a "universal" stabilizer kit which might be adaptable for the earlier years, again just a WAG here.

Rebar13: Thanks----thought those were the parts but wanted to make sure.

rebar 13,

Came across the one your looking for when I was looking for something else-

Napa has it, Part # NS SC2912, $39.99 /Each

After driving 2 different 90's era cube vans with the Steering Damper OEM, and now driving the 'new-to-me' 2005 cut-away, it really need the damper installed, can tell a big difference, nice part is, I got a '94 E350 for parts

Thanks allot! Monroe SC2912 Magnum Steering Damper

I took my van on the interstate today without the stabilizer. I did notice it steered easy or a light feel but it wasn't wandering at all. I think the stabilizer is a good idea, but the caster was the most noticeable for me.

Just a quick note to report that I purchased and installed a Rancho RS5402 Steering Stabilizer kit on my 1982 E350-based Motorhome with 460/C6 RWD powertrain. I was assured by the vendor (Summit Racing) that it wouldn't fit since the manufacturer only listed the F150, F250 and F350 as appropriate fitable applications. The frame mounted end piece bolted in place with some serious effort. Otherwise, no issues. The vague steering wandering is gone and it handles well - beyond expectations!

Just a real fight for the tight space to locate the outer half of the frame mounted bracket. Very tough to get at! After that the install was very easy. Best if you have very small hands!
