Good Morning Everyone!

I can remember quite a number of those "rough" mornings! LOL!
After I get down to my desired weight, I will actually get to enjoy a beer again!

Morning Lanny. Sounds like your doing the same thing I'm doing. I'm off beer until April or May. I'll still have a cocktail on the weekends, just not my usual 18 pack of beer! Trying to lose 20 pounds.

Hi Pat,
Myself, I love the taste of beer...I don't care if it has any alcohol (not that it hurts, mind you, LOL) in it at all, I just like the taste! But one day it just hit me..I got on the scale, I swear I heard it groan...I weighed in at 286!!!
Now, I,m 5' 10", and at 286, I was a rather "rotund" fellow, I noticed I was having to use a lot more of the seat belt, and the big thing (no pun intended) was, how much my knees, back, legs hurt..not to mention how much my legs and feet would swell up. It was'nt just beer though, I had to change some eating habits as well..good thing is,it's just a temporary thing..I started in late October, and as of today, I weigh 212! Size 42 down to 36, with the need of a belt! Size 2XLT, down to just an XL. Fortunatly for me, I like celery, lettuce (with no dressing), eggs, ham, steak.. all these things one can eat, and loose lots of weight!

Anyway, sorry for the long boring post!!
I got a call, back in a bit.

Wow, you have done great!! I got up to 252 in the winter of 09, and decided that was too much. I'm 6'3", and it wasn't too bad, but I just didn't feel good about myself. So, January of 2010, I quit drinking beer for 3 months, changed my diet, and started running. Lost 20 pounds, and kept most of it off until last december. I was sick a lot, and couldn't run. And, ate like a horse over the holidays, so got back up to 245. So, back off of the beer, and back on the treadmill. My goal is to get down to 220.

You are doing excellent! My goal is 175, but I will probably land around 180, and stabilize between, who knows?
Yeah, during Christmas, we have this tradition where I make a few dozen huge, fluffy, packed-with-everything cinnamon rolls..some things I just could'nt stay away from!!

Dinner is what kills me. I don't have much will power, so I really have to be careful at dinner time. My brain shuts off, and my stomach takes over. If I don't catch myself, the next thing you know, I've stuffed myself.

My stomach has shrunk so much, That I can only eat about a slice and a half, maybe two, of pizza, plus a bottle of water, and I am miserable!

It's good stuff! My kids love it. I've had to cut back on how much I make it, though. I have issues resisting stuffing myself with it! I used to make it every 1 or 2 weeks. I've cut that down to once a month. Bummer getting old!!LOL!

I agree, getting old SUCKS!! LOL!
My brain thinks I'm 28, and thinks I can still clear a four and a half foot fence..my body gets a kick out of that...you know..the ground is a lot harder than it used to be. LOL!
