I know you have researched the filters, and I'm sure you can build a nice DIY set up.
I'll probably end up tossing this flange and getting a couple of the same ones that you are using.
We'll see how it looks when it arrives this Friday.

Sorry for being late with the pic's this is my 16th day in a row working it has been wearing me down. Me and a buddy did try to clean the finish up a bit ,but all we had was a cheap drill press and a end mill but that side is flat now just needs some sanding. Look at the different size relief around the filter stud. Pictures by whitedmax - Photobucket

The workmanship on those flanges leave something to be desired.

That looks a lot better.

If you want to go with the baldwin filter head. I found the 10-orb swivel to join them for like 5$ and the filter head for 20.61. I'm asking for a refund.

He shipping me a new one this is his email
Corey,I am sending you a replacement which will be shipping this Friday. I am still baffled as to why something like that was sent to a customer. My fault for not watching over things closer I guess. You can use the mounting bracket you already have. No need to send anything back. If you have a use for what was originally sent please go ahead and use it as well.
I will see.

It arrived at my house.
Rather than comment on it, I'll let the product speak for itself.
Click on the picture and you will be taken to my Webshots album.

The quality isn't exactly what you'd expect from a reputable manufacturer, is it Dan?

There are applications where this quality might be "good enough", but I'd sure be embarrassed to let something like this get out with MY name it.

The last photo, showing the alignment of all three together, says a LOT for them.......

I sent him an email inviting him to come and participate in this thread.
Internet history does not go away and this thread will pop right up to the top of a google search if anyone searches for f1filtration.
As far as I'm concerned the flanges will work as advertised so I cannot really find a good reason to send them back just because they look like an ugly duckling.
I'll be separating them and installing fittings between the blocks.
I don't trust o-rings to last for very long these days with the fuel being the way it is.

It looks like someones first project from a machining class in high school......I'm sure it would work, but I think I could of fabbed up a braket to hold a few "baldwin heads" to make it look better than that.

Quality

Hello everyone,

Representing f1filtration, I can honestly say the past few weeks have been a little crazy here. Over the course of the past three weeks, we have had some quality issues pop up on products that should have never left our facility. I have been on the phone with a few customers who have absolutely been screwed over (sorry for the language) due to such issues and other shipping related concerns.

These internal issues are being resolved and I can not offer enough apologizes to those affected by this. One user made the comment about a high school quality job and unfortunately I must agree. Everyone affected is being sent replacement units as well as shipping and handling reimbursed because this should have never of happened.

If any one has any questions please feel free to PM or email. Again my sincere apologizes to those affected, this will be made right for you guys!.

John
