Transmssion lines and cooler installation

Hello i just bought a 94 ford f250 7.3 idi there are no transmssion lines on it the guy i purchased it from was going to replace them and never did, also i want to install a trans cooler on it,im not sure of the correct way to install the lines and cooler.Could someone tell me how the lines hook up from tranny to radiator and which line you splice into for the cooler, the truck came with new cooler that was never installed either but there are no directions with it i just want to make sure i hook tranny lines to the correct places at bottom of radiator and cooler.Does the rear trans line hook up to right side of radiator on bottom (pass side)and front trans line to left side of radiator on botton (drivers side)and cooler is spliced into the line that comes from rear of tranny or line from front of tranny, thanks in advance for any help

check 1980-1996 Ford Truck 1980-1996 Ford Bronco - LMC Truck Featured Products for the lines, its a e4od tranny. you want to run the pressure line into the radiator, the return line out of the radiator, cut it and put a 90 degree downward bend in it, run rubber hose from it to the aftermarket cooler, then the rubber line from the cooler to the return line that you cut. not sure what one goes where as far as left and right, im sure someone will jump in on that for you/

The line at the rear of the trans is the return from the cooler.
I run the lines according to manufacturers directions: Coming fron the trans, Front trans line to the radiator cooler, then back out of the radiator cooler to the auxillary cooler, finally out of the aux cooler back to the rear line on the transmission.

see here : Transmission Cooler Diagram Photo 3

It's a generic diagrahm. I explained in the post, the FRONT line is OUT and the REAR line is the RETURN.
I hope this clears it up.

I see, so you don't bypass the stock cooler, you just loop through it. What kind of hose should be used to do this? Will fuel line work? What size is the hose?

Fuel line isn't rated for the temps and pressure. Use transmission hose. Depending on your lines they are either 5/16" or 3/8", 3/8" being more desirable.

Correct, it has more braided reinforcement with a thicker wall.
