I finally got the dana 60

Well I finally got my dana 60. Took me a year but I found a complete
setup from a 96 gasser F350. It has the 4.10's and is complete from hub to hub with the swaybar and all the mounting brackets. I'll try to attach some pic's. Oh and I picked this gem up for $700! I'm going to start tearing into it tomorrow. Hopefully its under the truck in a week or two. Ok, how do I attach photo's?

Nice find! Paid more for mine & it looked like it had been resting on the bottom of the ocean for a few decades! Are you going to do the RSK & SD springs?

I'm just going to use the springs I have up front already. It already rides like a tank so I'll leave it. I've been looking for a long time for one under a grand. I finally found this one yesterday. I actually had to sell a gun to pay for it to keep the wife happy! I can't wait to get this beast under my ride!

I'll have to replace my shocks while I'm at it. Any idea what will help me smooth this pig out? I've read a ton of posts about the rancho 9000's. Are they worth the money?

You won't like the ride with the Dana 60 and your F250 D50 TTB springs.

As for shocks, I'm a Bilstein fan...

Revenue is revenue I guess! Maybe GM advertises here thinking they can 'convert' us

What he said... I would rethink the spring strategy.

I've talked to several people who have done the swap and kept the 250 springs. They dont seem to mind it. It really cant get any rougher!

Great find. whichever way you go with the springs, at least you'll have a 60 in there.

Nothing really- they are a pretty stout axle, however it's difficult to find a good shop that knows how to align them. And when the wear items (pivot bushings, axle u-joints) need replacing, it's big $$$.

Nice find! I just picked mine up friday. Kinda rusty so im going to strip it down and sand blast and paint it. Also going with a 4" RSK and 4" blocks out back. Cheap way to gain a few inches lift wise. Ive herd the RSK's make for a sweet ride.

The d50 were never made to hold this much weight they always go out of whack it is best to go with the d60.
