I have a 1990 F150, 4.9 with 208k. I'm the original owner. Runs as good as it did when I bought it. I also have a 1987 F350 with 6.9 with 197k which also runs great.<?xml:namespace prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-comfficeffice" /><o></o>
mines at 175xxx but it wasnt well maintained but it is all original so we'll see how she does after some maintenance. but im leaving the motor and tranny all stock.
91 f350, 460, e4od, 4x4, just hit 329000 tonight, and still on the stock engine and trans, this truck was originally my dads it died at 300000, and he said if i can fix it i can have it, replaced the cat and it was good to go =)
209K here on the original 5.0L...well, up until last Monday that is. That's when the crankshaft decided to become one of those fancy two-piece units.
Needless to say, I'm currently in the midst of an engine swap.

Wow, did the crank actually break? I was thinking by just looking at the photo that just the balancer pulley broke. I've got an extra balancer if discover that's all that was needed.
Wish I knew for sure, my 87 F-350 daily doesn't have enough digits noor are there enough records to know. Odometer says 65k I'd guess either 265 or 365 from what I know of the truck. Don't concern me much, it is what it is, when a part wears out it gets replaced. No indications that any of the major drivetrain parts have ever been replaced, but the motor certainly has some miles.
I have a 95 f250 4x4 with 5.8 that has 232,000, my best friend has a 96 f250 4x4 with 7.3 that has 251,000, and my father-in-law has a 94 f150 5.8 with 223,000. All still run great.

Yep, the front of the crank is definitely not connected to the back of the crank anymore. I finished assembling another 5.0L for the truck yesterday. Barring any holdups for parts, I should have the truck up and running again this coming weekend, then I'll tear the old engine down to survey the damage.

All I can do is laugh. Breaking a crank is pretty catastrophic damage when you're just cruising down the highway at 2K rpm. I just wish it could have held out a few more months, as I was planning to build a 351W based engine for it this summer.
