For the new guys wondering what the cost of operating a v10 might be. Here is from last year.

Finally got to sit down and figure the numbers for 2010 on the truck.

60,152 miles driven

Gas $15,524.30
Gal 5,988.05
25 cents a mile
10.04 average MPG (I wish of recorded the towing miles better and couldn't tell, will keep better record this year.)
$2.59 average a gallon

$42.79 - 1 oil change on the road traveling.
$36.70 - 10 Oil filters @ 3.67 each.
$220.71 - 70 Qts (5w20 Motorcraft $2.62 average.)
$40.37 - 3 fuel filters. (15.99/9.39/14.99)
$15.99 - 1 Air filter.
$110.82 - 10 Spark plugs. (Motorcraft)

Total $430.68

$430.68 + $15,524.30(gas)=$15.954.98
$15,954.98 divided by 60,152(miles)=26 cents per mile.

All maintenance on truck was done by me except for the Trans. flush and the 1 oil change.

Other expense not figured in the amount above are list below, figured it would be a wash seeing that the gas/psd would both have the same to do.
