So, I used 2 cycle oil in my truck for a bit when it was warmer out. I stopped when the snow started to fly. I didn't know if it would affect the fuel in a bad way.
The truck is quieter with the use of 2 cycle. I know it's used in snowmobiles and other winter applications. But those are not diesel applications.
What say you? Would this be any risk at all using it in the winter?
I do use the white DK with every fill up
Been running it for two years in two different trucks. Only side effect is a slighlty quieter engine, and the feeling of knowing my fuel pump and injectors properly lubed.
1/2 - 1 oz per gal of diesel. I use it year round also.
I use one quart per tankful
good lord, a full quart per tank?? I use 9oz per tank. You have not run into any problems running that much oil? A thread here is where I got the 9oz number, a full quart is quite a bit more.
I've heard of and also ran Automatic Transmission Fluid in a GMC Diesel that I used to have . I was told it needed it for the injection pump . I'm not sure that it did any good though because it still went bad in the truck twice !! Very expensive to replace injection pump ..
