I dont know if it's been stated already, and the pictures dont show it, but does the 4bt have the ve pump or the p-pump?

You dont have to tell me about diesel torque, but once you play with them a little bit you will never want to go back to stock power (even for a daily driver). I have a couple of friends with 4-500hp dd 12v cummins.

Sorry for taking so long to reply. Life has kinda sidetracked me for a while. The 4bt Ive got has the VE pump. There are P pump versions out there but they bring BIG $$$$$$. I'm hoping to get back to posting on this shortly. I have purchased my ZF 5 speed, have the clutch figured out and am working on figuring out how to mount the slave cylinder and getting some of the parts on the Cummins cleaned up and painted right now. That and working on a 70 F100 I bought to resell to help finance the swap. I'll be posting more info and pics soon.

Nothing new to post. Just letting you all know the project hasn't died. Between everything else I own needing work after a LOOONNNNGGG winter and life in general, I haven't seemed to have much time lately to mess with it. I have picked up a set of the bread truck block mounts and have acquired a hydroboost unit out of a late 70's Chevy 1 ton that looks like it will work with some modifications, so like I said the swap hasn't totally died. I just need some 50 hour days to get back at it................But on the upside, I'm still driving the truck daily. The only issues I've had with it this winter is a dead fuel pump and some tail light gremlins that got me a fix it ticket a couple of weeks ago...........

No surprise that pump died pumping that much gas must work them to death LOL
We had some real snow last winter and I drove My 74 4x4 to work for two weeks at 8-10mpg.
$25 a day in gas. Can't wait to see how Your truck dose.

4BT

78 PEB you are making the right choice with putting a 4bt into your truck. I have been driving mine around for just about a year and it is awesome! I have an 858 CPL that is non intercooled at the moment. Its hooked to the gas ZF-5, married NP205. I recently got 3.70 gears put in the rear and it does great on I-25 here in Colorado. I have 6000 miles on it without any problems. Have been getting between 22-25 mpg interstate driving when I keep my foot out of it.

I really like your seats and console. I am now looking at other vehicles for seats.
