2011 mirrors on 2000 superduty

Will the new mirror design "bolt on" to the older body style 2000 F350 to be exact? I figure I could wire the turn signals by splicing into either the fuse panel or a wiring harness line.

Thanks.

I am pretty sure that it will. There are several people that have made the switch to the new mirrors.

I was told there is a line up pin on the new mirrors that has to be ground off but the actual mounting to the truck is the same. Wiring would have to be custom

Not familar with the 2011 mirrors but if they are the same as the 2008's they will fit. I put them on my truck but instead of grinding off the extra pin I drilled a hole for it in the body.

That's a good idea. Use it for what it's meant for.

This explains pretty much all of it. It should be the same for the 2011 as the 08-10 mirrors. 08-10 Tow mirror install - Ford Powerstroke Diesel Forum I've been wanting to do this forever but those mirrors are not cheap!

No, they are not cheap but in your photo I see you tow and once you do it with the new mirrors you will wonder how you ever did with the ones you currently have. Huge improvement and the heated mirrors are nice when the snow is flying while plowing.

Yeah and thats one of my little trailers. Try a 28ft gooseneck with about 13,000 lbs on it. I think that the new mirrors look killer, it will just take awhile for me to talk myself into spending that kinda money on a mirror. I have found the kool vues for about $450 for a pair, but I don't know how they will hold up compared to OEM.

My personal opinion of the '08-'11 mirrors is they are nice, but go better with the more squared off body/front end of those years-If you are looking for a better view for a '99-'07 truck just spend $40.00 on the C-btr mirrors and you'll be fine!! I have my original power mirrors on my late '99 and the c-btr mirrors and I certainly don't see the need to spend the big bucks for the '08-'11s that look out of place on an earlier truck to me......

I bought a Kool Vue replacement for my pick up and it is excellent quality. It is not the 2008 model, but the original tow mirror. If the quality is the same on the 2008 mirrors you won't be disappointed, and the price is hard to beat.

Nice I looked at the cool view I am going to get the ones that have the signals built in and get the harness from a wrecked excursion with that option. I believe the ones I have now have the circle harness and I need the rectangle.

Now where did I put my money?? Oh I have to save some to put it some where... riiight

Supercab, I understand you logic but living in FL you will never have to deal with snow and ice on your mirrors and when your truck is a CCLB with a plow out front and a trailer behind, usually a snomobile trailer in the winter and sometimes the cab over camper, the heated mirror is a nice option that you could not get until '03 or '04. So if I have to spend the money I might as well go with the newest biggest mirrors for the truck possible. Believe me I felt like you did at first about the look but I don't even notice it know and everytime I have to use them I love them.

I'm actually going for just the style of the new mirrors. I also like how the split bottom mirror is bigger which is great. I will be doing some more research on wiring diagrams and things to make sure I get the full functionality of the mirrors.
